KASPALL GUEST ART REQUEST

Right.

For something like the next four months, if not longer, I'll be having chemotherapy every fortnight. During this time, I'm going to do my best to hit the weekly updates for Kaspall, but I'd be an idiot if I thought that it's going to be easy. Going by last week, there'll be plenty of times when I don't even want to stand up - let alone draw and ink a complicated comic page.

Unfortunately, due to my general rubbishness in maintaining a buffer ... I don't have one. But it would make me feel a lot better if I had some kind of reserve to fall back on, so if I do have a really bad week then I'll know I still have something to put up.

Fairly obviously, this is where you guys come in. If you would like to, of course. To put it simply, I would be ridiculously happy if you could send me a guest page for Kaspall.

Any pages I do get would be kept in reserve during my chemotherapy, to be put up as and when required - which means I can't give a guarenteed date for when they will go up. However, if, by some miracle, I hit every update or get more than I use (I'm thinking this is pretty damn unlikely ...) then once my chemo is finished I will start putting them up as double updates on the homepage along with the regular Kaspall page. So they will get seen, whatever happens. After they've gone up, they'll be put into the Miscbox section - along with any links you give me.

In return, I'll send you an A5 (7.5in x 10.5in) sketch of the character of your choice. I can either post this to you, if you give me your address, or email a copy if you don't want to tell me where you live ... In addition, if you have a website, I'll be happy to put up a banner (any size up to 700x90 px) for your site, with your page.

The Kaspall pages themselves are generally something like 720x1000 px in size, though I'm not expecting that you do anything that big if you don't want to. I'm aware that's quite large in comparison to many comics.

As to subject, that's entirely up to you. I guess the usual thing is to do something funny, but Kaspall is fairly serious at times, so if you want to do something serious that's fine too. Any of the characters are up for grabs, including random background people or people we've only seen once and you wanted to know more about. Whatever you like really.

The only caveat is the obvious one, i.e. nothing offensive. I don't need to say no porn, right? Good. And as for violence and swearing ... well, just don't do anything I haven't already done.

I'm really hoping that some of you might give it a go - and if you're sitting there thinking 'Weeell, I might, but she's sure to get loads of others', then don't. Kaspall doesn't have a huge readership, and I know drawing an entire guest page is way above and beyond the call of duty for any reader - so I'm quite prepared to get nothing at all!

And to be honest, I wouldn't mind. Hell, I think you guys are great just for coming back each week.
