Urgh. That was rather more stressful than I expected. I was planning to set up the guestbook thing this week, so I knew the update would take a bit longer than usual. But then it turns out the xepher (kaspall's host - and a good one too, that I should clearly plug more often) chose this week to shift over to the new system. Which was cool in the sense that everything is shiny and new and working, and terrible in the sense that I wasn't expecting it and suddenly had no idea what was going on.

It doesn't help that I always end up doing site stuff on Sunday evening, when I'm at my most stupid. And my computer is ... incredibly ... slllloooooowwww. It needs half an hour thinking time if it's going to try anything new. You can practically hear it muttering 'I don't like all this new fangled rubbish' while scrabbling around for its bifocals. It drives me up the wall, especially when I know I've clicked on the wrong thing, and now I'm going to have to sit and wait for it to work all the way through before laboriously undoing it all again. Because, of course, if you stop it in the middle it just gets confused and refuses to do anything at all.

Anyways. Everything seems to be working all right now. Fingers crossed. Which is good, because I don't think my insurance covers me 'accidentally' chucking my computer out of the window.
