If you're looking at this at a reasonable time on Thursday then I will already by on my way to my interview (I have to catch the train at 6.35am and then be wide awake and impressive at 10.30 when I actually have the damn thing. God, I hate this. But I also hate the idea of cleaning chewing gum off the floor of the maths block for the rest of my life - it doesn't breed much in the way of self-respect. Wish me luck! And Amy, who weirdly enough has an interview on the same day. And Gerard who will have to cope with the fallout if it's a disaster (I have not been fun to live with over the past few days).

Another reason for a better job - I need a new new scanner. I've had this one for less than a month and it's already really pissing me off.
