Well. Got the train on time, sat down, train moved off. Looked for my ticket. Could I find it? Could I hell. Bastards! Seriously, what kind of idiot sets off to their (all expenses paid - if you can produce the necessary evidence...) assessment centre and forgets their stupid evil bastard train ticket? So feigned sleep every time ticket inspector went past, then got off at my first change and ran to the ticket office. They would only let me buy a single (bastards!) but, somehow, managed to give me a route which gets me there earlier than my original ticket. How the hell did that happen? Did the people who sold me the original ticket think I would like the extra-special 'takes longer to get there' train? Oh, and did anyone check my ticket for the rest of the journey? Of course not. And did I find that the return ticket I bought on the way home was far more expensive, so the expenses I did manage to claim didn't cover it? Of course I did.

After all that, the assessment centre was largely okay. The group exercises were all right, and they gave us free booze. Mmmm... free booooooze. Anyway. Guess I'll know by next Friday. I'll be in touch...

Later: Just got some bad family news. Stupid website.
