Well that was fun. Just spent the day wandering backwards and forwards across London trying to find a train that would get me out of the accursed place. Made it eventually, but this was not the trip to be carrying a huge suitcase...

Had a great time at home though, went to the cinema loads - something I've not had the chance to do lately. Also got to read all the back issues of Sight and Sound, so I could find out about the films I've completely failed to see. It was particularly fun going to see The Island, and then shredding the plot to pieces 'Ooo, look Mum, if you pull here, the whole middle falls out!'. Not that I should talk too much about that, as I'm sure my plot will be full of holes by the time I'm finished. But my family really understand the fun in going to see some totally silly and entertaining film, and then pointing out afterwards all the different ways it's silly (and entertaining). I did keep flipping out of it though. I still maintain that it was because of all the confusing camera jarring - I mean, sure, it lends a sense of 'how it would really feel to be chased by a bunch of crazy bounty hunters' but mainly because a lot of the time you have no idea what's going on. And that always makes me go 'Whoa! I'm in a cinema!'.

More importantly, I have the new Finder trade paperback. Mwha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
