Scene 8 - Autopsy

Right.

First I would like to apologise to all my friends who are reading this (as opposed to the ones who aren't. Yeah, they can get lost), who I haven't contacted yet. I feel a bit guilty because I guess you want to know how I'm getting on in the job etc. etc. but the last thing I wanted to do when I got home every night was ring up a dozen different people and repeat all the things that had stressed me out during the day. Instead, I wanted to sit down, have a drink and pretend the whole thing wasn't happening (a bit difficult when you're living out of a hotel without access to your books/comics/CD collection - but I did my best). Things are a bit better now. The people in my office seem pretty cool, as do the other guys on my training program. Also, I have been given some work to do which I actually seem to be both interested in and remotely capable of, which is nice. As is the fact that no one has asked me to empty a bin or scrape chewing gum off the floor for, like, a whole week! Which is more than nice. Finding a place to stay caused a ridiculous amount of stress - I should really thank the Gerard here, as he was stuck in a hotel room for three days going quietly mad and had to put up with my coming back every evening and demanding that he instantly make me feel better - but we got there in the end, so now I have a room. No broadband as yet, which means continuing weekend updates, but I'm getting a line installed.

Other than that? Things are going. We'll see.
