Um. Hmmm. wait a minute! I've got a glass of wine in the fridge. Back in two ticks.

Wow, that tastes kind of minging. Okay, what was I saying? Oh yeah. Nothing. Man, I only have to think up one paragraph of stuff to say per week, and I can't even manage that.
It's no good, this wine is too rough. I'm going to have to get a gin instead.

Ooo yeah, that's the stuff. I'm going to turn into one of those drunken old Dickensian women, aren't I? You know, the ones who keep a bottle of gin on the mantelpiece and have about three dead husbands. Anyways. Let's see. Oh yeah, I know!
Kismet is good!
I can't vouch for the quality of most of the archive yet, not having finished it, but the stuff I've got through so far is brilliant. It's extensive-colonization-of-other-planets level sci-fi, and so far has been largely set on a planet called (surprisingly enough) Kismet. The story I'm reading (Hunter's Moon - which I think is the main one) is fairly serious, but there are side jokes that make it fun to read as well as interesting. I loved the Gaian Suicide Finch for instance... There's a lot of stuff going on - undercover agents with personality transplants, an old revolution with associated freedom fighters etc. - but it all fits together well. The thing that got me about this one is the writing. The dialogue is just great - you believe in the characters and how they interact. She's also very good at conveying a lot of info. in a casual way (a skill I seriously envy), and the panel layouts are really good too. One word of warning though, like most webcomics, the current page is on the homepage, and for some reason I find it harder to not look at than most.
Okay. That's it.
